Q: What is the Student Child Care Subsidy Program?
A: In collaboration with other campus partners, this financial assistance program is designed to help undergraduate and graduate/professional students pay for specific school-related child care expenses. Certain eligibility conditions apply for program enrollment and usage, including the use of qualified providers and providing requested documentation.
Q: How is Life & Work Connection's Child Care and Family Resources (CCFR) involved in the Subsidy Program?
A: As a unit of Human Resources, CCFR has coordinated financial assistance to student parents since the mid-90's. This office serves in an administrative and operational capacity in support of the Program, as well as in a consultation and advisory role to students seeking child care information and to campus partners in clarifying and underscoring the importance of the Program for funding opportunities.
Q: How does the Program assist such parents in terms of student recruitment and retention issues on behalf of the UA?
A: CCFR encourages interested students to contact Alice Rowan at (520) 621-2493 to request a current semester application packet. Or, go directly to the program guidelines and application forms.
