The widely popular caregiver manual, How To Be a Resilient Caregiver, is now available online.
This extensive resource guide contains a variety of information about assisting an older adult along the continuum of care from least need to end of life care. The manual also contains a section on self care for caregivers, and a comprehensive list of Tucson area resources and services. UA Life & Work Connections is pleased to make this information available in collaboration with United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, both online and in a "hard copy" format, by contacting Jan Sturges, Caregiving Coordinator, at 626-4770 or sturgesj@email.arizona.edu.
How To Be a Resilient Caregiver was developed by the Family Caregiver Outreach Program, a grant-funded program of United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. Resource information provided in this manual comes from professionals, agencies (including the Pima Council on Aging) and organizations in Tucson as well as websites that assist caregivers and the public with aging, health care and caregiver issues.
