Alternative Work Arrangements

Flexible work arrangements that address the needs of the University and its employees can serve as strategic, organizational tools. Long- and short-term options such as working from an alternative site or modifying one's work schedule, can continue to promote workgroup productivity, the recruitment and retention of qualified individuals and the institution as a cutting-edge, student-centered, learning environment.

There are several models for alternative work arrangement consideration; some may be familiar to individuals as part of existing, informal workgroup or departmental arrangements; others may reflect intriguing, yet untested practices as to how the work of the University may be performed within the context of an increasingly global society.
