I'd Rather Run
Use the maps above and distances around the UA campus if you're into jogging and running. Suggested routes take you away from high traffic areas and give you a 2, 3, or 5 mile work-out. Use your imagination to vary the routes or combine them to fit your own fitness program.
Safety First!
Day walking: Let someone know where you are going and the approximate time of your return. It never hurts to bring a cell phone along and a small whistle in your pocket that can be used to alert people of your whereabouts in an emergency. Encourage others to join you in the adventure.
Night Walking: As you walk or run on the pathways at night, keep to well lighted areas, where there are other people around and avoid isolated darker sections. Let someone know where you are going and the approximate time of your return, or better yet, take someone along with you and enjoy the walk together. Carry a whistle that makes a loud noise in your pocket or around your neck to use in case of an assault, and carry a cell phone. Its a good plan to be prepared, remain alert, and avoid isolated areas.
