Jodi joins the UA Worksite Wellness Program as a Nutrition/Fitness Counselor. This program covers a variety of services that assist faculty and staff in maintaining or developing work/life balance. Health promotion and prevention of chronic diseases are the main emphasis, offering employees current health information so they can make informed decisions. Jodi is a wellness educator with a fitness emphasis and offers the following to UA employees:
- Wellness screening for heart health and diabetes
- Presentations for departments on a variety of nutrition/fitness/health topics
- Strength Training with Elastic Bands group classes
- Program development for specific projects
- Individual counseling on nutrition and fitness
Jodi received her Bachelors degree from the University of Arizona in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and is a Registered Dietitian. Jodi is a certified American Council on Exercise personal trainer. She is completing her Masters of Education in Human Relations and Counseling through Northern Arizona University. Jodi has worked as a clinical dietitian, health educator and nutrition consultant. She also serves as Event Coordinator and Team Nutritionist for the University of Arizona Adaptive Athletics Program at the Disability Resource Center.
