Choosing Childcare

Your partnership

with Life & Work Connections' Childcare and Family Resources is a shared, educational opportunity to discuss thoughtful issues and responsive strategies for identifying, assessing and selecting childcare and enrichment experiences. UA employees and students may review “Childcare Guidelines” for exploring infant and toddler, preschool and (elementary-aged) before and after school care choices.  Certain sections can be useful for families with students in middle and high school grades, and in college. Select from the left menu to access individual topics.

Our content experts are here to help!

Life & Work Connections offer consultations to UA employees and students:

  • Identifying a continuum of childcare options
  • Discussing strategic considerations to meet diverse needs in multiple Arizona locations
  • Addressing specialized childcare needs (e.g., grandparents raising grandchildren or health issues and childcare)
  • Providing tools and resources to effectively assess and evaluate childcare and enrichment selections

Office, telephone, and other consultations are available for current and future Arizona childcare needs. Resource & Referral assistance includes related University services, community childcare programs, regulatory issues, in-home childcare options, national resources and more.

In support of best practices, the University provides childcare information and references for referral purposes and does not endorse programs or services.  It is the obligation of the responsible adult to evaluate and confirm program features and references in selecting care. To discuss a childcare consultation, please contact Lourdes Rodriguez by email or by calling (520) 621-1530.
