Caregiving and Self-Care: Build in a Balance

Smiling woman kneels next to smiling older man in wheelchair.

For many people who provide care for their loved ones, self-care is an afterthought at best. But it's important for everyone's quality of life for you to invest as much in yourself as you do in others. Dependent care advisor Eileen Lawless, MSW, and Debbie Waring, ThM, MSN, RN, family caregiver support coordinator at the Pima Council on Aging, review warning signs of stress and explore resources, including respite care, to help prevent burnout. (Do you have a question you'd like answered during the presentation? Please email it to Eileen Lawless at elawless@arizona.edu.)
