My name is Corina Jo Flynn. I have been a part of Admissions Processing since June of 2017. I have represented APU for approximately three years.
During that time, I have realized that I have a passion for mental health. I feel that mental health is such an important but misunderstood and crucial part of health in general. I have incorporated mental health as a huge part of my sharing information with the team.
We have developed a “Health and Wellness” channel in teams. We share tips, friendly reminders, and activities in the community. We have also developed an annual tradition of attending a University of Arizona baseball or softball game. This tradition has grown to include our friends and family participating in the event.
As a group, we participate in Move Arizona. The team and I work hard to take care of each other. We do have in-person meetings once a month. During that time, we can check-in, enjoy each other’s company, and spend time together.
Team Quotes
Zachary Love said, “I appreciate that it feels like there is someone thinking about our wellbeing since you have been in your role as wellness ambassador. It is always nice to know someone cares!”
Susan Marie Cepin, said, “Corina, I have appreciated your taking on this role in our department! You have encouraged us to tend to our physical health in a variety of ways, including maintaining this Health and Wellness channel and stocking it with friendly reminders, encouraging us to engage in the HIP program, and sponsoring our team for Move Arizona! In addition to all this, you facilitate our emotional well-being by helping us support and connect to each other via birthday card management and overseeing shared meals and potlucks when we gather. I appreciate your positive outlook and your investment in our well-being as a team and individuals! Thank you.”
